4th Edition of The Coliving Spain Project
This year, we are starting with the Spring Initiative.
Do you have a coliving and think you’d be a good fit for our project? Tell us a bit more about yourself.
Spring Initiative – Coliving Spain 2026
This will be the fifth initiative of The Coliving Spain Project and the first one of the Fourth Edition – Coliving Spain 2026.
- Initiative duration: 3+ months
- Visited colivings: 3
- Colivers meet: 25+
Returning to Coliving 1907 – Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
This was our second collaboration with Raquel and Coliving 1907. The first time we had the opportunity to experience it was back in 2022, when Coliving 1907 was still in very early stages.
The additional motive to visit it again after years was that the coliving was celebrating 5 years of operations in November of 2026, and we wanted to celebrate it by seeing what has changed, what new things have been born since the last time we were there, and to talk about what it means to run a successful coliving with its owner Raquel Villalobos.
Returning to Pitaya Coliving – Arecife, Lanzarote
The biggest motive for this initiative as a whole was to reconnect and reunite with some of our favorite spaces from our past project initiative. Pitaya coliving is definitely one of them – a coliving we first visited in 2022, just a few months after they had officially opened their doors.
Piataya has grown so much since our last visit, and we were very excited to see that – and not surprised at all to see it thriving – even in the low season. They also celebrated their 4th birthday in 2026, and the novelties, operations, and the project are a real proof of Pitaya’s owner, Laura’s dedication and love for the community and for Lanzarote.
12. Laberint Coliving – Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca
The last stop in our initiative this Spring was a brand new residential coliving, and the first of its kind in the center of Palma de Mallorca.
This was also our first time visiting the Balearic Islands – and let us tell you – it was the best decision to do it through Laberint Coliving.
The owner, Irene, really surprised us with her incredibly thoughtful ideas, willingness to create something different, and her love for Mallorca and the Balearic Islands. Leberint was a cherry on top and such a profound experience.
We hope this coliving will be another one we will go back to celebrate their success in years to come.
